About the atlas

A public, editorially maintained atlas of technical reality. Version v0.1.22, as of 12 September 2026.

Assignment

Collect the state of technical reality — and keep it true. Not to explain the future, not to comment on the week, not to sell a stance.

Not a news site, not a future explainer, not an opinion outlet.

Rules

Three layers separate the state:

Evidence grades E0 to E4. Dated citations, no invented sources. What cannot be checked is filed as a claim, or omitted.

AI may help draft. It must not invent evidence. Gaps stay E0.

On method: Method. A separate tool of the same author, not the atlas: source ledger.

Why

People make decisions about technology that affect lives. Hype and weekly takes are cheap. A checkable map — what actually works, what is only claimed, where physics, energy, and institutions stop it — is useful.

The atlas exists so readers can use the information. Not so a brand can win an argument.

Priority of the human

The human being has top priority. Technology is a means. Ethics and truth are conditions of the work, not decoration.

Harm to people is not filed as progress because it is new. Dual-use — synthetic biology, for example — is treated as governance and constraint, never as a how-to.

What v0.1.22 is

v0.1.22 is the vessel: language, method, URL tree, entry structure. Dossiers 01–12 have unchecked first versions. Dossier 12 is a synthesis, no new evidence. That is not a defect; it is the refusal to invent couplings.

German is the default. English is a parallel tree, not a toggle. Every page has a language counterpart.
